Photography and travel are my life passions, Exploring Exposure was born out of a need to share my passion with others. I live as a nomad, on the road 365 days a year. I am fortunate to have the ability to spend months in a location getting to know it in depth. I want to share a slice of this lifestyle with you, by taking you to amazing locations and teaching you how to capture the incredible scene in front of you.
I grew up primarily in Colorado in the Fort Collins/Loveland area, the mountains are my stomping grounds and where I feel most at home. I have grown to love the desert Southwest as well, and is where I like to spend my winters.
I’ve always had a deep love for the American West, and the mountains and surrounding landscapes there have always felt like home. I started my photography adventure 4 years ago, when my travels from my home in the Midwest took me on adventures in Colorado and the surrounding states. I found myself traveling west every chance I could get, to further my skills in photography. My background is in geology, and I worked in veterinary medicine for many years. I find that photography combines my love of both, as I can shoot the wonderful scenes that were created by the forces of the Earth, and capture the magical moments that wildlife shares. I want to share what what nature provides through my lens, to help create awareness and trigger emotions for this world we live in.
