Canon 6D

For the money this is the best camera on the market for night photography, extremely low noise at ISO 6400

d600

Nikon D610

The best value in the Nikon lineup, it outperforms the D800 and at ISO 6400 performs nearly as well as the D4. See how it stacks up against all the other Nikon full frames in the Nikon Night Photography Shootout.

Performs exceptionally well at night considering it's high megapixel count. It also reproduces color incredibly well.

Nikon Df

The Df has the same sensor as the D4 at a fraction of the price. If you're looking to step it up a notch from the D610 this is your camera.

Nikon D4s

The best performing camera in Nikon's lineup if you have budget to spare! Of course the D4 is still an excellent choice as well.

d800e

Nikon D810

The D800 performed fairly well at night and the D810 has improved the noise at high ISO's, this should be an incredible camera now. I haven't had the chance to test this new model yet, but if you're in the market for one I wouldn't hesitate getting this camera.

5dmkiii

Canon 5D MKIII

A solid performer in a professional grade body, you can't go wrong. Performs just as well as the 1DX at ISO 3200 and is very clean at ISO 6400.

D7100

Nikon D7100

The D7100 has an APS-C sensor. I was fairly impressed when I tested this body. I would only consider this if you're heavily invested in DX lenses or have budget restrictions. Otherwise go full frame.

Fujifilm X-T1

This is my current camera, for a cropped sensor it performs incredibly well. It is not quite as good as the full frames, but is extremely close. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it.
